Why Choose Me?

I'm an experienced primary school teacher of over 20 years, enjoying new and exciting opportunities where I can share my expertise. I have taught children from the age of 1 to 11, both in and out of school settings, and looked after babies from birth. I have always worked in nurseries or primary schools as well as private tutoring and childminding. I'm currently working as a personal 1:1 Tutor and a part time Nanny to 6 year old twins, who I've been with for 3 years.

After many years in the classroom (drowning in paper work!) I decided to set up my own tutoring business so I could support individual children in a relaxed, nurturing atmosphere. I am now able to give each child the time, support and undivided attention they deserve to promote their self confidence and ability.   

I have a dedicated space for my classroom which is full of resources and equipment needed for each individual. I have recently updated my ASD training and am constantly researching learning or behavioural areas associated to individual pupils. 

I enjoy being social with friends and family as well as meeting new people. I have always enjoyed working with children and I often spend my free time with my nieces and nephews. 

I'm a very honest person and I expect mutual respect. I have excellent behaviour management skills and I also endeavour to make the time I spend with children as fun (and educational!) as possible. 

I am well travelled and enjoy exploring new places both locally and across the globe.
